I currently used the revision strategy to prepare for exams through repeating notes and completing exercises that would help me to understand the main points of the text. I generally finish the chapter with practice questions and a short quiz to measure my level of understanding. The results of such quizzes help me identify areas where I need to practice more, and I then create notes based on them. However, learning about various techniques would assist me in better preparing for my examinations. Some of the techniques I would employ to prepare for examinations include elaborative rehearsal, which is when I am learning new material and then relating the meaning of it to the knowledge that I already have stored in my memory.
